Mixed Media Layout using 7 Dots Studio Destination Unknown

Hello and happy September!

Lysa here sharing this mixed media layout using the 7 Dot Studio’s “Destination Unknown” collection. This layout is masculine yet it is full of color! I am so in love with these papers because they are so rich and beautiful that you don’t need to do much with them to make an amazing layout.

For this layout the main background paper is “Journey” with a torn/distressed corner showing the “Celestial” paper underneath. I matted the photo by layering paper, fussy cut images, die cuts, stickers and tags on top of one another.

I added some colorful green accents to match the grass in my photo by mixing modeling paste with Lindys Stamp Gang “Aloha Avocado and Rusty Lantern Lime” Magical’s and using the chevron pattern and circle pattern on the Destination Unknown Line Elements stencil.

I colored UmWowStudio’s nautical star chipboard using gesso and Lindys Stamp Gang “Azure Sea Asters” starburst spray.

I decorated the page using various stickers and die cuts from the collection as well as some rhinestones from Queen & Co.

The faux water drops are hot glue drops colored by using Lindys Stamp Gang starburst spray in ” Azure Sea Asters”.

I do hope I have inspired you to get your fingers messy and try some new techniques. Happy Crafting!

I will be submitting this to the following challenges:
